Caramel Rum Sauce

This is delightful sauce to pour over Ice cream, double pudding white cake or Bread Pudding or any of many other deserts.

Ingredients:
1/2 cup butter
2 Tablespoons of caramel topping
2 tablespoons dark rum (optional)
3/4 cup brown sugar
1/2 cup heavy cream 

Melt the butter and stir in the Caramel and brown sugar until dissolved. Turn off heat and add the cream folding it in, and lastly the rum. Spread over the desert of your choice and may be served warm or cold. Sauce may be added to individual servings or spread over the entire top of a desert dish. If you would prefer, the rum may be omitted.
